The Best Hotels & Apartments near Borghese Gallery in Rome, Italy
The Borghese Gallery is located in one of Rome’s most prestigious and beautiful areas. Here is a list of the best hotels and apartments near Villa Borghese based on traveler reviews:
“The hotel was beautiful, but you would expect that for the price. What made the stay exceptional was the staff. We had lots of fun with Antonia, the concierge, whom I had corresponded with many times before our trip. This was my second stay at the Eden ( prior to renovation), and I would stay nowhere else on our next visit. I would surely rave and recommend this hotel to my friends.”
Rocco Forte Hotel De La Ville
Villa Borghese is a 10-minute walk from Rocco Forte Hotel De La Ville, while Spagna Metro is just yards away. Palazzo Barberini is a 5-minute walk from the property.
“The location was superb – literally at the top of the Spanish Steps. Lots of attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The staff was exceptional – polite, friendly, and helpful. We took two rooms – I had booked two superior rooms, but we were upgraded on one of them to a premium room. Both rooms were beautifully furnished – with large comfortable beds and great bathrooms with rainfall showers. Our room also had a bath and a walk-in wardrobe. The roof terrace at the hotel is stunning, with a spectacular view across the city—a great selection of wines and cocktails. At breakfast, we had lots of choices, and it was only on the final day that we realized that we could have eggs cooked the way we wanted rather than order from the menu that was given. Superb choice of fresh fruit, pastries, and yogurts, and the coffee was as you would expect in Italy – divine!”
The 900 Apartments offer accommodation for companies from 4 to 16 people. Walk to the Borghese Gallery for 11 minutes and to the park’s main entrance in 2 minutes. All units here are air-conditioned and feature a flat-screen TV, a living room with a sofa, a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area, and a private bathroom with a bidet, bathrobes, and slippers. A dishwasher, a microwave, and a fridge are also featured, as well as an electric teapot and a coffee machine.
“Even better than expected; looks even better in person. There is lots of space, very comfortable with every amenity you could think of, just as advertised. We were greeted and shown around the apartment, which was beautiful and in an excellent location. So tucked away yet walking distance from so many amazing landmarks. This is my favorite stay in Rome by far. Also, try the restaurant next door. The food was beyond amazing.”
Via Veneto Suites
Via Veneto Suites is just a 7-minute walk from the Borghese Gallery.
“Modern, clean, beautifully wallpapered rooms with a great shower. Very nice breakfast and the staff are so helpful. They are close to a Metro stop “Spagna” and near an upscale neighborhood of local Romans. Right in front of Villa Borghese and the vast park – perfect for morning runs. Very secure. The rooms are so beautiful, and I loved hanging out in my room when it was a rainy day.
Everything was great about the property, but travelers should note that it is about a 25-minute walk to Trevi Fountain. Then, it’s 15 minutes to Spanish steps and just 5 minutes to Villa Borghese. Finally, it is a 40-minute walk to Trastevere. Uber is perfect in Rome, so I was able to take a cab if I wanted to go to Trastevere at night. This location is close to Quartierre Coppede, a neighborhood that looks like a fairytale, close to La Rinascente, a department store, and close to things like supermarkets, pharmacies, and near-luxury vintage stores. I like that it’s in a slightly less touristic area.”
Baglioni Hotel Regina
Located on the fashionable Via Veneto, Baglioni Hotel Regina offers elegant rooms in Art Deco style. The hotel is complete with a free gym and a wellness center with a sauna, hammam, and hot tub. Massages are also available.
“I really like the quality of the staff here. Everyone is extremely helpful, and the front desk answers the phone within seconds of calling. In addition, they book reservations at restaurants that are very difficult to get, which is very convenient for me.”
